In a statement released Monday, Sega confirmed that Naka has been arrested for insider trading.

Sega announced today that Yuji Naka, the creator of Sonic the Hedgehog, was arrested for insider trading in Tokyo. Sega said they will not release an official statement regarding the circumstances of his arrest other than to say he has been taken into police custody.
