Football season is upon us! Well, almost. The NFL regular season will begin in mid-October. The N.F.L. season started two weeks ago, and some teams are already playing. The New York Giants are two weeks away from their October 17th home game with the Dallas Cowboys. The two other teams that have played are the Tennessee Titans and the Cincinnati Bengals. Here are the teams we think will win (or lose) their respective games:

The New England Patriots have won back-to-back divisional titles and have taken home two Super Bowls, the last of which was in 2007. The Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2002 with then-quarterback Tom Brady as part of one of the most dominating F.C.A. teams of all-time. When they won the AFC title earlier this year, it was Brady’s 2,000th NFL game and his 8th win in a row. They have a strong defensive line led by Pro Bowl defensive end Rob Ninkovich and star cornerback Darrelle Revis. They have also added a new franchise quarterback in their young third-year man under center, Tom Brady. The Patriots have the best running back tandem in the league. The Patriots have the league’s best tight end in Aaron Hernandez. And the quarterback is one of the best and most complete players in the world. The Patriots are as good as they have ever been, which is why we think they’ll go to the top of the table this year.

The Falcons, who will host the Patriots, have never won a playoff game. They went 0-
